    Hi lizwelsh,

Not really up to date on all of this, but here goes...

Shareholders elect directors... who are the shareholders? More importantly, if there are two shareholders, who is the senior (that is, the first named in the register)? Right! Where's that damn register? In the ogre's castle? BUG@ER!

Did the devil have authority to sell the shares? THINK! Joint holding or an authorised person? Waterhouse would have recorded the call mainly to cover their own behinds. The angel would be entitled to it. They had a fire in their office? RATS!

Try the companies share registry for details of dealings in the shares. No hard stuff but it may be a start.

Should be able to pay a fee to the bank for them to retrieve the voucher. The banking industry ombudsmen is usually friendly. Keep everything in writing. Must go through the individual Bank's ombudsman first. May not solve anything. All records lost or destroyed in a tumultuous flood? RIGHT!

Tell the angel, "Don't get mad... get even!"

Your right, you do indeed need some documentary evidence.

    GK
