In terms of making big calls on CCC, I made way dumber calls than champ2003 about CCC. I was inexperienced, got over hyped about the company and saw the silver lining without seeing anything else.

I allowed well written posts on hot copper to sway my opinion more than they should've and I would listen to posters with the most effective emotive language. I think a lot of the negative downrampers had a chip on their shoulder too as do downrampers on any company. I found posts by the likes of bigbillbrown and pisces were much more reasoned and backed up by rationality and level headedness. I think these helped me look at companies with a more rigid rationality.

I think my final catalyst was when the 'promised glory' of the AIM listing ended up being the biggest fizzer I'd ever seen. Talking about the consolidation to get funds on board... When the share finally listed on AIM, there was something like 10000 dollars worth traded. I was expecting hundred of thousands to millions.

I final realised that I hadnt done a good enough job analyzing the situation to sufficiently judge the effectiveness of the CCC team as managers of a company. I'd let my opinion get swayed by emotion and greed. Next time I invested I aimed for a company with much less 'fame' and a track record of consistently delivering results.

I know this post reads more like group therapy and self indulgence, but I strongly believe that its vital to do so. I think its my ability to analyse myself to this depth that has led to my short investing career being as profitable as it has been.
