Ban shorting? What utter ridiculousness. They should focus on "naked" short selling, HFT and the fact that companies (supported by another company and mk operator ASX) want to expand powers to asymetrically raise capital carte blanche at ordinary mum and dad SH expense. Other than that they don't seem to understand the market function "vanliia" short selling provides.
ASIC are so incredibly useless and pathetic it beggars belief.
