Yes, they'll ban short-selling if we get another GFC. however, if we get another GFC, the absence of shorting won't matter, because everyone will be selling in droves, in effect acting as their own shorters.
Hopefully, we can just have some solid markets. The markets lately have been not too bad, all things considering.
