Are any of the regular posters still holding MBP? If you are holding, just how much does it worry you that a company whose share price was 'eviscerated' (to quote The Age) by now over 80% since the release of the trial results (closer to 90% if you count the SP fall in the weeks leading up to this) has not put out one single piece of follow-up information to shareholders apart from giving a shareholder hotline number???? Not even an 'all is well, plan B is advancing' promo spin, even if it only helps ease the pain of shareholders for a short period of time, has come out of this company.
I just went to their website and although a message that future development of AOD9604 has been terminated (under the 'Obesity' link) there is still a wealth of old information about the clinical trial progress of the drug and even details of the OPTIONS study in progress:
"All subjects will have completed the study by the end of 2006 and Metabolic expects the results to be announced in March 2007.
"If the OPTIONS Study is successful, Metabolic will immediately prepare for a Phase 3 human clinical trial."
Am just wondering what you see in a company that has such disregarded for shareholders? With their track record of misrepresentation of results to shareholders and now how they have dealt with the phase II failure, as well as likely complete alienation of many people who may contribute to capital raising for future work after their November raising leading into trial failure results release, what will it take to turn this company around? Nothing short of awesome phase II results in pain relief ("and as a side-effect, it cured cancer") will make this move north – may as well go into a casino and go red-black as represents a better risk-reward situation at present.
