RTG, you might want to brush up on the rules of the ASX. Speeding tickets are for when there are no announcements and major fluctuations in price (+-15%) and high volume - normally a sign of insider trading before big news. As there was no trading that fit this pattern prior to the announcement no need for a speeding ticket.
And colinchi, no need for a trading halt either as the TOL came through after the market closed. As nobody could trade the news until the next day it was an effective trading halt. I suspect they had the letter waiting and ready to go and probably got notified a few minutes before releasing it.
Last time we had 3 or 4 days of solid run up on no news before TOL was awarded. This time nothing, it came out of the blue and caught everyone unawares. No leaky ship this time round, so no need for the powers that be to step in.
