Spot U.S. prices for high-grade zinc have tripled in the last two years—from 52¢/lb in 2004 to $1.58 last year—and the price rally won't likely end soon. Analysts now project a 37¢ increase in the 2007 transaction price average—and that will keep pricing pressure on galvanized steel sheet.
