Thank you for your reply. I am aware of the damage that shorting companies shares can do to a company. I did hold Zip for a couple of years, glad I am out now. I have been in ASM from the beginning and the share price manipulation to move ASM from the critical metals and ASX indexes was educational.
The current shorts do not appear to have such an easy cover for the shares they hold short. They must be punting on a capital raise. Are you aware of other mechanisms they can use to cover 5 million shares?
As the mining and metals production business develops the share price should increase. I believe that covering the short sold shares will become more difficult as time goes by. The last couple of weeks outstanding short sold shares has increased while the share price has appreciated, not a good sign for the short seller.
