Below is the ASM chart (showing % SP growth) since the demerger from ALK in July (candle chart) and is compared to other rare earth explorers/miners, e.g. ARU, LYC, HAS and NTU. While we have had a bit of a drop an the past week ASM has significantly outperformed others in the sector but over 100%, and rightly so due to the excellent progress in the metalisation tech. As others have already mentioned, it is normal to have pull backs and this is at least the 4th major pullback in the last 6 months or so, where each was followed by SP increases. The SP is likely to be volatile until revenue streams are established. I think ASMs prospects are much better than most other rare earth miners/explorers given that they will not simply just be mining and selling oxides, but further adding value by generating high purity rare earth metals using an energy efficient process as well as producing magnet alloys. Their process is applicable to other rare earth miners as well as metals such as titanium, so there is signficant scope to licence or even be an offtake partner for rare earth oxide processing. I will continue to hold and if it drops much further will buy some more.
