There is a balance not “no CO2” .Personally I’m like your dad now- put on a jumper and live a modest life.
More trees less people sounds perfect to me. It used to be that way.
Trees, vegetation anyway, were what made this planet habitable for humans. Now we clear them, so they are not working for us anymore. We dig up the buried remains and burn them to put that carbon back in the air.
These are not theories or alternative facts.
l really don’t understand why this has become controversial.
