My guess it's on the Korean Plant relating to profitability stemming from orders and production's ability to meet it. Likely dovetails with your guess.
if it means ASM's cashflow can "wash it's face" I will be happy but likely not as much as you.
i.e. I'm likely to get my Christmas present from a stock (ASM) but not the one I expected no wonder I'm confused, bemused and amused.
All IMVHO.
PS: I do not heavily shorted stocks are rallying today. That bit is in my understanding.
