Rubbish. If that was the case, ILU getting it's funding would have stopped ARU getting its'.
Note: I can't remember using that word before on HC but when I see ARU up 70% today and ASM struggling for the same reason my frustration tends to boil over. As far as I'm concerned, ASM including ALK has done just as much work to meet the REE demands for non-China supply and its strategic. What's with that picture of Albo at a meeting with THE CEO and others.
Further, last week I tried to attenuate whinging on ARU's threads, by someone called Tradeforprofit, who was running a similar line to you, that ARU was not going to get government funding and that ILU had got it all. Unfortunately, since he was equally intractable to everyone else, including someone with real Knowledge on another issue. I gave up on him and put him on ignore. I hope he was just sprouting off (likely) otherwise he's 70% the poorer right now.
