None of it is macro. It was all managements fault. David Woodall had a deal with the Koreans and they found out that the resource was rubbish, so then he left and they pulled their deal, which all had nothing to do with declining metals prices, or a sector which was in free fall.... it was just a coincidence. Just remember that the Korean consortium pulled/stalled their funding when the sector was nose diving, and it had nothing to do with that, and you'll be fine.
And now that the sector has been bottoming for the last 12 months, it's still managements fault that new contracts and off takes haven't been secured. In fact the CEO should resign, because the company didn't meet the KPIs they proposed off the back of anticipated sector growth. Management should try harder, maybe find an alternate route to funding.....wait a minute!
Just leave the word "macro" out of every conversation on here mate, stick to the facts, which is basically anything you can come up with after a few glasses. Then come on and tell everyone what you think with the conviction of someone who knows what's really going on, and who's been an executive for most of their lives. Just make sure you remind everyone how idiotic they are for not understanding how simple it really is, maybe get some bitter political comments in too, and remind people of your intellectual superiority, after all you do know everything, so don't hold back on sharing your insights!
That about sums it up, no more evidence of macro decline please, it has no place here ..... oh and the recent price increase is because of insider trading, a takeover, or we're now convinced that something must be going on behind the scenes, because..... macro has nothing to do with it!
