It is just a figure of speech, are you dreaming of paying off your mortgage in an unrealistic time period with via the share market, buying a flash car, having a secure retirement (that is all rich). If you are investing more than you can afford, there is a good chance you will be burnt. If you are looking at a 20% gain over 10 years with money you can afford then more than likely you have modified your behavior or emotions for trading.

The highs and lows of trading suck people in and sometimes cause them to make rash decisions.

I suspect in a way when you stopped posting the short positions on a daily basis it was because you felt you were becoming trapped. When you are committed to posting it makes it a little more difficult to sell. The world of inception, crazy stuff.
