"SK must secure future supply of RE for semiconductors and batteries"
On 19 Aug 2021, Minister of Industry/Trade/Energy visited a rare earth/metals producer and a SK RE stockpile base in Gunsan (where the KMP is currently under construction in O-Chang).
6 industry leaders/CEOs attended the meeting with the minister, including ASM's Korea/Asia CEO Moon Seok-Jin (Frank Moon).
The rest of the content is what we already know, "increasing demand from new industries such as EVs, global aim of carbon neutrality, increasing competition to secure supply" blah blah blah
Pretty safe to say that ASM is still on track, and is considered one of the industry majors when it comes to RE supply for SK. 6 major players in SK, of which one is ASM - all invited to the table by the SK minister.
