AFAICT banks rule the western world, or at least do the bidding of those that do (things become quite opaque when one tries to ascertain who is sitting at the very top of the hierarchy of power, as old money prefers to fly under the radar and let people like Bezos and Musk be in the public spotlight when it comes to being known for extreme wealth). In any case, the ASM forum is not the place to discuss such matters.
