Slight decrease on the short positions from the 11th to 12th of around 8,000. Since Jan 7th overall short positions are down by 10,000. A few days does not make a trend, but at least there is not an overall increase. To me looks like they cover as much as they can during the day and then they bring it down in the afternoon into the close so they can cover some more the following day. It will be a long grinding process to cover 4.2m shares.
A positive announcement right now would set a perfect storm imo.
In the mean time, if you want to trade it, this is a good pattern to follow. Buy at the close and sell the next day before 1pm. But then again, if too many ppl do it, then the bots are trained to change the pattern.
