Hi @prhb -- I don't think your reasoning is faulty -- the believers and ETFs buying-in early may have created a day-trader's / shorter's paradise in ASM. The July-Nov 2021 rise to 12-14 seemed excessive / premature relative to realistic build, production and funding timeframes, but to me indicates the solid potential, for 2023-2024). I have re-set my expectations, and believe this is a great opportunity to accumulate: perhaps horizontal for the rest of 2022 and then steady gains of 50% YoY (ie, $6 - $9 - $13.5 ... ). Anything better / earlier would be cherries and cream for me (but perhaps then more prone to shorters / volatility). I would prefer to be buying more around 7ish than 9-10s -- until we have substantial progress news.

That said, I am concerned about / don't know how to factor-in the Taiwan risk and changing economic / equity market outlooks for 2023-2024, and how that may affect ASM's roll-out and SP trajectory (it would be nice if exposure to emerging strategic materials production affords a harbour / refuge against stagflation etc??). I have since read the latest post from @cactusjack17 and am grateful for the shared insight. IMHO, Not advice ...
