There is a middle process between (a) rusted in long term holding and (b) day trading
It involves :-
(a) some stock held for the long term, based on reliable fundamentals
(b) some stock held for medium term re-weighting between stocks
(not day-trading, but comparing a mixture of factors)
(technical and/or fundamental)
Median trends, which I use, can help to compare relative strength of SP performances
(By no means a perfect guide, but helpful on enough occasions to warrant watching)
