I think I understand that you mean there are various types of "owner"
1. Owner as principal and lender
2. Owner as borrower with the trading right
3. Borrower becoming in turn a lender to another trader
4. Theoretically creating a chain, or ending up as a closed circle
Yet I would have thought that at any given point in time one only entity would have the trading right?
A non-owner of the trading right would surely be a naked short seller?
But I am neither a lawyer, nor a practicing public accountant
