I've only been posting on ASM lately, although I'm just trying to tune out of the stock market in general these days. ASM will live or die on its merits from here on out, and AFAICT there will be no speculative optimism as far as the SP goes in the near future. Hopefully the worst case scenario is priced in by now, but I'll be holding regardless. Definitely had some beginner's luck last year, thanks to unprecedented QE – easy to see in hindsight, of course, but also easy to get caught up in the mania when one is new to the market and doesn't have a lot of experience with different market conditions. Have definitely learned some lessons the hard way, to put it mildly, and the accompanying readjustments in my expectations for the future have been quite hard to reconcile. FWIW I held ALK as my sole holding for years before the demerger, purely because of the RE potential, but my lack of experience and accompanying naivety led me to ignore the writing on the wall and hold over 90% of my holdings through the opportunity to cash out at $10+ (sold a little at $11, at least). It is what it is.

In any case, if worse comes to worse I'll just go and sit on a busy corner with my beautiful acoustic guitar (the one thing I treated myself to with my ASM profits), which I love playing, and sing for my supper lol.
