As a general comment, (not relating just to ASM), you can't tell me that companies don't wake up the morning of a sea of red and go, 'oh gee, lets give this pending announcement a few days eh?'
Perhaps when the ink dries on a major contract they announce immediately but for certain things such as plants coming online, achieving certain capacities or production milestones, technology coming to fruition, etc, there would be a bit of, 'natural room,' to announce it to the market.
The term, 'disclosure,' is also very open to interpretation!
