rowena's presentation from the AGM clearly stated that the current method of production for NdPr is not using the zirontech "LK" method, and the mooted use of the LK process will apply only to the Ti product suite until it can be further developed to apply to terbium, dysprosium, zirconium and hafnium. whether the current NdPr process is even using the 'low energy metallisation' process as originally outlined in announcements from 2020/21, or even producing to the pilot plant specs (99,65% NdPr) is not disclosed anywhere by the company.
worst case this means ASM was dragged into buying zirontech on false promises from the pilot plant results (https://asm-au.com/neodymium-praeseodymium-production-and-permanent-magnet-samples/) and it can only do small scale volumes. no wonder KSM can't get any offtakes if their maximum production volume is hampered by the technology not working as planned.
