I don't believe it has anything to do with shorters - that has been smashed around for months and months, along with solid predictions of "we are bottom".
Just like the rapid decline in SP was as a result of fundamentals (missed timelines, funding falling through, less metal plants etc....).
This relatively rapid increase in SP has to be based on fundamentals improving (i.e. funding being progressed or/and offtakes being close).
Shorters maybe closing out on the above improvement in fundamentals.
