In retrospect, once all the bs started with Woodall leaving and the Korean consortium reneging, ASM was screwed. Maybe it's just me, but I find it very difficult to visualise the likes of Rowena and Peter Finnimore building ASM into a successful global supplier of strategic metals. I hope they prove me wrong and admittedly it is a very difficult industry to break into, however at the beginning, things were rapidly falling into place and it really seemed like ASM was going to pull it off, to me at least. Now, not so much.

FWIW I still hold ASM because the shares are basically worthless now and I've written them off. Riding the ASM rollercoaster since the demerger has been a hell of a lesson for a stock market newbie – straight into euphoria and then the prolonged and stomach churning descent. Lol.
