Thanks for the article & views

cherry picked from the article & highlights my point about some JV catch 22 situations

"Cooperation with upstream suppliers will create a very good close relationship, but sometimes, this kind of cooperation will be a constraint'

This is likely magnified within the Chinese structures it is referencing

China is the undisputed major producer of RE metals & magnets & will likely remain so for decades however...

political, diplomatic & economic dog fights seem entrenched in human history & it almost appears to me that it's just a big game all leaders play with us plebs as pawns, mere building blocks if you are lucky & canon fodder when it all turns ugly

USA, China, UK, Russia, Japan all nations demonstrate obsessive & excessive self interest starting at the top in political, business & media circles & trickling down through mindless consumerism & trend setting

Australia is pushed around by USA & UK though we are perhaps less of a UK outpost than we used to be Australia is primarily a strategic country with minerals & agriculture for export with very few value add focused industries or businesses of any scale or consequence

The constant one upping & competition & mistrust & back stabbing & drama of nationalistic propoganda & economic war games & pyramid structures & return of mass migration after COVID restrictions ease globally will ensure division & competition are valued & critical to the survival of current political & economic structures - add in military & nuclear proliferation & it sets up pretty well for multiple RE producers & magnet & semi conductor manufacturers

Further fracturing of EU is likely with France & Germany growing tired of propping up the more corrupt & less skilled nations

ASM linking with South Korea is excellent

Lynas linking with USA is OK for now but long term who knows how it will pan out

HAS linking with Germany is excellent

We still have Brazil, India, Canada, Norway/Sweden & Russia who could all become significant players

I can't see political leaders working together constructively for quite some time & with lifespan, population, living standards & urbanisation all increasing there should be plenty of sustained demand for RE linked business, military & consumer products

Haven't even touched on AI & large scale displacement of humans by robotic labour & skills

Surely China keeps most of it's RE & magnets for it's own state backed businesses, military & tech development

likewise with South Korea & USA & all other developed nations previously mentioned
