Van Eck REMX tracks an MVIS index which inludes only 20 rare earth stocks worldwide so nothing to do with S&P indices. It may be relevant to the S&P indices that VE track but by far their biggest ASM holdings are in an index not related to S&P. My comments relate to the REMX ETF not any of the ETF's tracking S&P 200/300. ASM currently around 7m short sold with VE REMX holding around 2.2m so there must be a lot of other insitutional players loaning ASM to short sellers. May thay all get burned at the stake one day and hopefullly soon.
