I think that only Van Eck tracks this MVIS index with its US and European funds so perhaps a total of around 2.5m ASM shares involved which will need to be disposed of by end of this coming week. The CSOP auction this Friday might be interesting. With the current level of short sales there must be other institutions loaning out shares also so we won't get rid of all those happy to.loan to short sellers.
interesting to note that AVZ was removed from the MVIS at the last rebalance 3 months ago but is still listed in VE Remx at pre suspension closing price.
The current trading in ASM is a joke and if the ASX had any interest in having a transparent market it would ban all short selling and impose a minimum parcel limit somewhat above a single share. Just my thoughts, DYOR.
