ASM Vs LYC is interesting.
Compare the share prices. ASM ahead as of today.
Lynas has over 900 million shares on issue. ASM 119 million.
Lynas is actually mining but then they have to ship ore to Malaysia for processing, where they have experienced some soverign risk. Also Mt. Weld is a long way from the coast, adding considerable costs I would imagine.
ASM on the other hand has developed processes in South Korea to turn the ore into metals which I am pretty sure LYC does not. I would think that they would then replicate that plant at the site of the mine near Dubbo.
Given the short time that ASM has been listed, the progress has been fantastic.
