FYI for those who haven't been around this stock long and are looking at that old all time high at 31c in 2018. The company only had 325M shares on issue at that time giving it a market cap of $100M.
Since then the company has competed half a dozen capital raisings giving it 869M shares on issue today and a market cap of 87M at yesterdays close. (10c)
In effect close to the same valuation as all time highs. To get back to 31c we'd need a valuation of $270M, almost three times that of the peak valuation in 2018.
In my four years holding, trading, keeping an eye on the company, management have only proven to have been exceptional at talking up whatever resource is hot at the time (back to lithium now) to pump the share price, raise capital and pay themselves. (We'll wait and see on the results of the prefeasbility study to see if there actually is an economical project here.)
Don't get me wrong this is a hot sector and a great place to be trading at the moment (I've hopped in and out of ASN myself this week) but it does pay to put a perspective on things when the bulls are running hot.
