Fundamentally disagree with your reporter and the professor and CATL for that matter I don't disagree that there is a "niche" in the market for them . But until they overcome the obvious which is that Lithium sits higher in the periodic table and therefore lighter by weight and and also substantially More energy dense they will struggle to get anywhere near the dominance the reporter and professor state . For arguements sake let's say in the distant future that this conundrum is solved (not sure how) how do reverse the economic stranglehold lithium has , this is the same arguement I discuss with hydrogen lovers the mountain is too tall to climb . Anyway this topic was topical on PLS threads for the last 6 months or so but the outcome is always the same it's "hungry panda" delivery bikes and "lime" scooters for Na-ion batteries maybe some BYD buzz boxes for the 15km cities but not much else IMHO , FYI thanks for the share though !
