Yes such a gain is also significant to my family ,our white goods are over 5 years old and we drive two old bombs.
Yet we refuse to sell because once you do and you spend it you are back to square one in a few years time as your new items become old ,I have never held on to such a large paper gain in my life ,but there comes a time ,you just know its the right thing to do.
Maybe in a year or two we will never have to worry about still having money after buying that new car ,or whatever it may be.
Money makes money ,not spending most of it on new stuff.
