We actually have two new neighbors.

Pan American Energy finished the spinout of its Paradox basin land that ASN surrounds last week. The new legacy common shares after the 5:1 transaction will not be listed on a public stock market, rather it will operate as a reporting issuer. This leads to the obvious question of what could be Pan American Energy's future plans for this valuable land.

American Potash's (the second neighbor) deal is is more interesting. Sometime back, I posted the potential of the land controlled by American Potash(KCL//CSE which is located between ASN's current “bookends projects”....Paradox as well as Western. I suggested the potential for ASN to strike an advantageous deal with KCL given its lack of funding. At the time of my post ,KCL's treasure held the princely sum of $150k. This expansion opportunity is now gone as detailed below. Fundamentally, KCL keeps the Potash play, 30% of the Lithium play as well as the larger portion of the 13,800 hectares. This includes a pending application for 10,000 BML Potash exploration hectares not covered by the existing presentation.

Full disclosure I hold ASN,KCL andPNRG.

VANCOUVER,British Columbia, April 17, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AmericanPotash Corp. KCL-CSE ("AmericanPotash"or the "Company"),is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new optionagreement (the "OptionAgreement")with LiK Resources LLC, a private Houston-based exploration company("LiK"),on its Green River Potash and Lithium Project, located in the ParadoxBasin, Utah (the "Project").Toearn a 70% interest in the Project, LiK must now: 1) make cashpayments of $150,000 (USD) (received). 2) advance $3 million USD tothe Company by April 28, 2023, to be used exclusively for permittingand drilling the first exploratory well under the supervision of amutually agreed upon top-tier industry consultant. 3) complete twoseparate Pre-Feasibility Studies; one for lithium and one for potash, evaluating a minimum of six mineral leases or claims within theProject by December 31, 2024. 4) commission a valuation of theProject by an independent, mutually agreed upon third-party, to bedelivered 90 days from the completion date of the Pre-FeasibilityStudies; and 5) in the event LiK is a publicly traded company with amarket capitalization of more than one hundred million dollars ($100million USD), transfer one million dollars($1millionUSD) worth of itscommon shares to the Company within forty-five days of completion ofthe Pre-Feasibility Studies and valuation of the Project.

KCLcontrols 11 State of Utah (SITLA) mineral and minerals salt leasescovering over 7,000 acres, 128 Federal lithium brine placer claimscovering 2,650 acres, and is in the final stages of the applicationprocess for 11 Federal (BLM) Potash Exploration permits comprised ofapproximately 25,000 acres. TheOption Agreement excludes areas subject to the Potash PermitApplications which are currently under final review by the BLM threeof the State leases and a large area covered by the Federal (BLM)Potash Permit applications, lie within or border, an area designatedfor future potash and brine and processing, including energyefficient solar evaporation ponds. It appears that Lik resources isinterested in the Lithium play and KCL is keeping the Potash option.Given that KCL is practically broke, the deal includes a Lithiumexploratory drill named Duma Point located approximately a half milewest of an historical oil and gas well.
