Scaling GETs may be harder than DOE has painted it (latitudemedia.com)

With the move into renewable grid energy storage and distribution comes the question of how to efficiently manage the flow.

It requires an enormous amount of storage capacity to be able to effectively supply renewable energy to the grid.
It's going to take Solar Capture & Storage on every structure that currently relies on Base Load Grid Energy.

The Sun is a massive Hydrogen Fusion Reactor, pumping energy down to us 24/7 depending on where you are on the planet at any given time.
To my mind, solar is the only cost effective and efficient source. You can argue the credentials of Photovoltaic Cells and Batteries as renewable, but the energy source most certainly is.

The world needs to apply the KISS theory, Keep It Simple Stupid, and focus on what we have had freely available to us since the big bang.

Just my thoughts on a cold and rainy day sitting in the office at home next to the heater which is costing me 1.5Kw an hr at 27c a unit
