The electric vehicle industry is clearly in trouble due to batteries losing up to 41% of travel time in the cold and not charging very well in the cold, and that is if a charging station can be found, and a working one.
In some cases in certain cities in the USA, it costs only a little less to charge or even more to charge the cars.
Until cold weather issues have been figured out, and charging issues have been sorted, the Lithium price will be staying around the same price probably within a 20% up or down price cycle.
Power storage batteries will continue to grow while the EV industry continues to struggle until a battery maker invents the cold resistant EV battery.
Just as well Anson has other projects to benefit from while the EV industry works to gets it right.
On a side note, Trump today mentioned about how the Lithium goes to China and batteries for most of the current electric vehicles are produced in China and how he wants to see people not being forced to buy electric vehicles but be able to buy a American made EV battery and car using American produced Lithium, I think Anson can provide the Lithium, that would make Donald Trump happy, he may joke about the poor performance of EV batteries, but he will not force anyone to buy or stop anyone from buying a EV, changing regulations will play a big part in this.
Regardless of the low Lithium price, there is always going to be some demand for electric vehicles, and a Trump administration plan is to make sure the Lithium is produced in the USA and stays in the USA, it also looks like the Democrats feel the same way in some part once regulations have been sorted to help pick up demand and help domestic production of Lithium.
Anson is in the box seat here, in my opinion.
Government interest in seeing a steady supply of domestic Lithium from Anson's brine projects can not be discounted, I do feel that something big will unfold on this front no matter what administration is in charge over the next 6 months.
In saying all that, my previous long term usage view for Lithium stays the same.
