My comments are being taken WAY too literally
We all know that politicians rely on votes to keep their jobs and progress their careers.
Of course Bruce isn’t going to overtly threaten anybody. But the RISK to the USA not locking up their own lithium supply, which is currently being controlled by a bloke who has strong ties to China, would help motivate great deals.
But that won’t happen overnight - it takes time and a lot of conversations, hence why I believe the offtake timeline has now moved to early next year.
To allow Bruce TIME to haggle - overtly and subtly.
Because WHY would Bruce agree to a deal without knowing what he can pull from the government as a grant?
All I’m saying is that we’re in a great and UNIQUE position of power, and I sure wouldn’t want to be the government official in charge of the Inflation Reduction Act grants and let Bruce and ASN slip through my fingers.
