I am pretty sure the big boys knew when quarterly rebalance would take place... to allow those wanting to get out and those wanting to get in, with BIG number. Yet some were brave enough to short 1.5m ASN yesterday.
Another battery stock (graphite & testing provider) based in USA also had a BIG closing auction.
