there could be a possible deficit of 2.6MT LCE by 2040, bearing in mind that all planned mines must then also go into construction/startup. However, since dissatisfaction with new mines is currently growing, more difficult environmental regulations, possible nationalization include a time shift, the deficit could also be larger! Furthermore, the DLE process is far more environmentally friendly, which will also be promoted in the USA in addition to Biden's Inflation Reduction Act from 2023
Current Quote: Chinese lithium chemical prices have continued to deteriorate as cathode makers continued to destock, resulting in a 4.5% decline in Benchmark Mineral Intelligence's lithium price index.
