Sodium batteries will be relegated to bottom of market vehicles at best, energy density matters most and there's a lot of testing on that battery to define if it really achieves those km's being claimed (just like all EV's)

Lithium-air, lithium-sulfphur, the forward looking designs are a massive improvement in density, Sodium simply cannot compete on range. However, it will be beneficial to the EV economy overall as it will promote the creation of infrastructure to support charging which will inevitably end up supporting lithium based vehicles.

its ultimately a win for the industry as it simply achieves more customers by catering to a lower price segment. Only a fool would look at this as a replacement for lithium.
