Great news,
Glencore, VW, Power Co and Stellantis recently purchased a Nickel sulphide mine in Brazil for their battery supply chain.
As expected auto manufacturers are moving upstream to secure Nickel supply.
Also great to see that the Nickel mine that was purchased has the same profile as Astons mine.
- Large scale
- low grade nickel sulphide deposit
- open pit
- hydro power
Sound familiar?
Only thing is that the mine purchased is located in Brazil and this comes with political jurisdiction risk whereas Aston has the advantage of being in Canada.
Glencore will be transporting the Nickel concentrate from Brazil to North America (Sudbury) just down the road to Aston to be processed.
Hold onto your shares ladies and gents, Aston is right asset, right location and right management to get this project to the stage for Glencore and EV makers to buy it. IMO
