Thanks for the link, the semi is going to be very popular and dominate the logistics industry as companies look at TCO (Total cost of ownership) when updating fleet. Semi have a higher upfront capital but a lower TCO. As Tesla advance towards mass production they will be able to reduce upfront cost and still maintain lowest TCO and further dominate market.
They average tesla vehicle at ~80KwH uses 50kg of Nickel.
The Tesla semi battery is 800KwH, one can assume that average nickel required in a semi will be 500kg.
Tesla plans to sell 50,000 units per year from 2024.
That is an incredible large amount of Nickel for Tesla alone.
