Doug Ingram makes the point in the interview in FierceBiotech that PMOs have a limitation - they are neutrally charged 'meaning they don't get into cells as efficiently as we would like'. This is key because at the same time the neutral charge makes PMOs particularly suited to intracellular delivery with a CPP.

This is where its interesting to refer back to Ingram's comments in the FierceBiotech article. According to Ingram the ultimate goal is to rescue decline in DMD. In the Operations Update for 3Q 2018, Phylogica management raise a question in relation to their programs which undoubtedly includes ASOs and the PMO subset;
"Can our CPPs deliver a therapeutic cargo to a tissue/cell affected by a disease process in a manner that enables the correction of that disease."
The target, the processes and the goal is the same. It stands to reason that Phylogica will either be a fierce competitor of Sarepta or a close and strategic collaborator.
