Amerika wants to paint him as a traitor of the US on the same level as the highest of historical traitors. Actually you can't be a traitor unless you are a citizen of the country in question, so that rules him out as a traitor in any case.
No, what he really did was simply report on leaked information by others about Amerikan war crimes. That's his 'offence'- but only in the eyes of Amerika. What Amerika wants is revenge for anyone reporting their criminal activities in other countries. The Amerikan hunt for Assange has nothing to do with revealing Amerikan secrets because they were known by many others prior to their reporting by Assange.instead what they want to do by hunting Assange is to give a warning to any others who might dare to report on the activities of the world's biggest criminal bully.
And what do other countries have to say about this? Assange is an Australian citizen so you might expect Australia to have a say in the matter, but sadly, Australia being nothing more than an Amerikan puppet state just went along with Amerika, they have done nothing positive about Amerika's persecution of Assange and Australians being a dumbed down version of Amerikans don't seem to care either way. They are more concerned with barbecues and whether their property values have increased over the last 24 hrs. to care about anyone else - and this suits Australian politicians just fine, being the gutless bastards we all know them to be.
Now it's England's turn because they currently have Assange locked up. England have accepted Amerika's assurances he will get a fair trail and be treated humanely rather than being tortured in Guantanamo Bay. Now I don't know where you've been on the planet for the past several decades but anyone with more than a single brain cell surely knows that the path to Amerikan objectives are always paved with lies. Amerika lies about everything and anything that might be faintly perceived as critical of its activities. Most of the time it doesn't need to lie because of Amerika's liberal use of court applied gag orders on just about anything of public interest (the Land of the Free?). It turns out that in many respects England is merely another Amerikan puppet state and is preparing to kow-tow to Amerikan priorities not to anything remotely resembling fair play or justice. By the very nature of Amerikan charges against Assange it's pretty clear how much of a 'fair trial' Assange will get in the 'Land of the Free' and England has lamely accepted Amerikan assurances...
The upshot of all this is to remind everyone that it was not Assange who committed war crimes but Amerika. Amerika once a promising country with basically good values is drifting into becoming a police state. Because of its financial clout it no longer cares what the rest of the World thinks about it because Amerika knows they can't do anything about it - so it continues to throw its weight around with impunity. When will the rest of the Western world stand up to the Amerikan bully? even to deny it access to persecuting a minor player like Assange?
Here's a picture which tells you all you need to know about our big 'ally', the World's biggest bully masquerading as the defender of freedom and democracy, a country which silently engages in world wide destabilisation of other governments while presenting itself as the friend of all who weakly accept their lies - but it's not a picture of Amerikan foreign invasion it's a picture of what it does to its own people - if it treats its own citizens as depicted what can the rest of the World expect?
