It's odd that the erroneous assaying was not picked up a lot sooner since it is normal practice to run frequent standard samples as checks during assay runs. Hopefully the assay laboratory responsible will pay the cost of the re-assaying which will not be cheap.
It's better that the erroneous assays were understated than overstated. However, it's hard to imagine that there will be a hugely significant difference. Reasonably good estimates can be made of Cu, Pb and Zn by estimating the visible sulphide minerals in the drill core although Ag and Au are completely dependant on the assaying.
