re: open cut depths/t4p T4P,
assuming an economic orebody was found at this depth, cannot think of groundwater probs at Olympic Dam-more than likely the orebody will soon start to experience the problems associated with heat , or more particularly the miners will when it gets a bit deeper.
As to an economic grade, assuming OP widths etc, add 50% plus to the grade, ie around 2% Cu, 1.5gtAu, plus the all important yellowcake whose grade escapes me for the time being (o.5kg/t u3o8?)or variations of the above with the same net effect-my hope is for a much higher uranium count.
