Terramin, an emerging Australian base metal production company, is entering a significant phase of its expansion via the development of its zinc resources. The Angas project will commence production in mid 2007 and two other Zn/Pb/Cu projects have the potential to rapidly advance the company production profile.
This position will have responsibility for the financial and commercial management of the company as it initiates both local and foreign mining operations. The ideal candidate will be an experienced (15 yrs min) CPA/CA with ability to work with foreign legal and tax regimes. An extensive mining background is essential during which you will have developed a strong level of commercial acumen and knowledge of joint ventures in the mining industry.
Key aspects of the role include:
Financial modelling & budgeting at company and mine level
Contract negotiation and management eg off-take agreements
Foreign exchange and metals hedging implementation and ongoing management
Negotiating financing packages with major banks
Ability to implement modern streamlined accounting structures and systems.
Ability to manage and develop the Company's finance team
Other attributes include knowledge of equity markets and ASX Listing Rules, ability to deal with stakeholders and other equity market participants. French language well received.
