Basically these (Buddy OHM) are "poor mans" BMSs (Building management systems). A BMS is/can be quite complex and expensive. They've been around for years. They monitor and control systems within the building. At this stage we are only monitoring the status and value of sensors. In the future they plan to add "control" to the OHM. For that they would need actuators (electric valves etc) incorporated into the system infrastructure so that things can be turned on/off and regulated.
