Spot one. CNP was buying assets on borrowed money whilst others were selling. CNP were one of a very few it seems that didnt predict the situation. This is why they went through this turmoil whereas the other larger Autralian property managers did not.
The banks did the right think. They did basically put a gun to the head of CNP to get what they did. The real winners as usual are the big banks.
