Actually, China did not originally want to buy Lynas's product... It wanted to buy Lynas itself.
Lynas also considered the idea of processing the ore in China
Both of those paths were not followed, for fair reasons IMHO.
The big question now is, what does China wish to do about/with Lynas going forward....
Until we get official news, all we can do is speculate?..
China clamping down on illegal exports is a win-win for China and Lynas
how do people see last weeks libor action impacting on the Chinese ree companies who are bleeding financially ?
Today's business insider provoked the question... Was the DJ hammering last week really from the fed's taper policy, or actually the Chinese financial situation... My money is that China had more impact.
One has to ask... If the Chinese gov. Sees fit to reign in lending for companies who are bleeding, will that include the ree manufacturers/processors who are being propped up right now ?
