Really appreciate your comments, but to be clear I am not saying western companies will not take Indonesian Nickel, I am saying some won't and will look elsewhere. I know this because it was my job, at one stage (advising on Indonesia trade and investment) and US companies were my largest client base, and many found dealing with Indonesia problematic, and simply refused in the end.
As you say, it may well become a situation of availability, which may leave no option for some. This however, does not impact QPM, as 100% of anything produced is under binding off take. Getting FID green light and construction commencement is really the hurdle they need to jump.
I also think this small rally today is nothing more than reaction to what we have been discussing last 12 hours. Pattern remains that traders sell into good news. Until we see more solid, certain information, it's still range trading IMHO.
